Snacks
gingerbread people, stars and stockings!
Tis’ the season for baking! Bring out your rolling pin and have the kids bake a tradition Christmas biscuit – Gingerbread men! Or they can be ginger-stars and even ginger-stockings. As the festive season can mean many treats are being enjoyed – we’ve suggested to swap out using icing sugar for cream cheese, and decorating with little cuts of vegetables. Carrots and celery are great to decorate your biscuits with as they have lots of colour and sultanas make for great buttons
strawberry muffins
After a quick snack? These strawberry muffins are tasty and take no time to make! Even though strawberries may not be in season, you can use frozen strawberries! just as nutritious and tastes the same as fresh strawberries! This recipe is a great snack addition to your kids lunch boxes!

fruity pancake slice
Fruity pancake slices take a fraction of the time and effort as traditional pancakes. This giant pancake is cooked in the oven and is the perfect breakfast to serve to a crowd – no flipping required!
mandarin and chia loaf
Got sad mandarins or oranges that need using up? Think banana bread only citrus flavoured and with the added goodness of seeds.
apple and rhubarb cake
There are lots of fruits that go around masquerading themselves as veggies; tomatoes, cucumber, zucchini, pumpkin….But what I love about rhubarb is that it is technically a vegetable, but is always pretending to be a fruit!
pumpkin scones
Miss 6 came home from school one day announcing that she wanted to make pumpkin scones, so we did! Including pumpkin into this recipe adds a twist to the classic scone. Bonus—they contain veg!

This is a healthier spin on a Aussie favourite Anzac cookie. They are no quite Anzacs but we think they are delicious!
