These delicious bliss balls have the same flavours as traditional Anzac biscuits. They are sure to be a hit this Anzac Day or any day!

Ingredients
- ½ cup pitted dates
- ½ cup desiccated coconut
- 1 cup oats
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 2 tablespoons warm water
Directions
- Blitz dates, ½ cup oats with 1 tablespoon warm water in a food processor, until combined
- Spoon date mixture into a large mixing bowl
- Add desiccated coconut (saving 1 tablespoon for rolling), rest of oats (saving 1 tablespoon for rolling) and golden syrup
- Mix until it starts to combine and add 1 tablespoon warm water, continue to mix until well combined. Mixture should stay in form. If mixture is a little wet, add a tablespoon or so more of dry ingredients. If mixture is too dry, add a little more warm water.
- Move mixture to one side of the bowl
- Place the leftover coconut/oats on the other side of the bowl and combine these two ingredients
- Roll mixture into teaspoon sized balls
- Roll the balls through the coconut and oat mixture
- Store in fridge or freezer
Notes
Try adding some spices to your balls: ½ teaspoon of ground ginger for a gingerbread flavour or ½ teaspoon cinnamon for some warmth
