When asparagus is cheap and in season why not give this delicious recipe a try! Asparagus with crumbs is a simple yet yummy side to your dinner meal.

Prep: 5mins Cook: 5-10mins
Ingredients
- 2 bunches asparagus
- 2 pieces multigrain bread
- Fresh chilli to taste
- ¼ cup grated cheese
Directions
- Break end of the stems off asparagus
- Steam asparagus for 5 minutes
- Toast bread
- Blend toast in food processor with a little fresh chilli (to taste)
- On medium heat, fry crumbs for a couple of minutes
- Add grated cheese and cook for one more minute
- Serve crumb over steamed asparagus

If you don’t have a food processor, then use store bought bread crumbs and skip steps 3 and 4
