In the past few years, many commonly eaten foods including oats, nuts and seeds, yoghurt or eggs have gone from being called, well, just ‘food,’ to being considered a ‘superfood’ and the change can be leave many people understandably confused about why all of a sudden, regular food now needs to be called something different.
