A fun fruity party treat that kids love to make and eat! The sky’s the limit when it comes to the shapes that you can make so get in the kitchen and get creative.

  Ingredients

  • 1 cup wholemeal flour
  • 1 cup plain self-raising flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups milk of your choice
  • ½ cup berries (fresh or frozen, if frozen defrost before using)
  • 2 teaspoons cocoa
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Directions

  1. Combine ½ cup of wholemeal flour and ½ cup of plain self-raising flour into two large bowls
  2. Add one cup of milk and one egg to each bowl and whisk well for one minute
  3. In one of the bowls add ½ cup of berries and whisk until combined
  4. In the other bowl add 1 teaspoon cocoa and whisk until combined
  5. Pour the different coloured pancake mixtures into two separate squeeze bottles
  6. Heat a little oil in a fry pan (on a medium heat)
  7. Using the squeeze bottle with the cocoa mixture squeeze the outline of the shape you wish to create into the pan
  8. Allow this outline to cook for a minute until slightly browned
  9. Fill in the remaining area of the pancake with the berry mixture squeeze bottle
  10. Cook for another minute and then flip to cook the other side of the pancake

Notes

Try using a range of ingredients to flavour the different coloured pancake mixtures, including banana and cinnamon.
