Here are the festive puddin’ truffles! They look fabulous, not too sweet, full of fibre and Christmas spices.

  • 100g pitted prunes
  • 180g almond meal
  • 1 fresh orange – juice and zest
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 small pinch ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp ground allspice
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 30g plain cocoa powder plus extra for dusting


  • 200g melted white chocolate
  • ¼ tsp peppermint extract
  • 4 cranberries, chopped into 3rds for berries
  • 24 pumpkin seeds for leaves


  1. Blend all truffle ingredients in a food processor until smooth (except extra cocoa for dusting)
  2. Roll into 12 balls
  3. Gently toss in cocoa powder to prevent sticking
  4. Melt white chocolate and peppermint extract
  5. Using a teaspoon, drip chocolate mixture over the top of truffles
  6. Add 2 pumpkin seed “leaves” and ⅓ cranberry to decorate
  7. Keep covered and chilled in fridge
